"Climbing High "

I don't claim to be perfect.
There is much I don't know.
But I'm gaining on wisdom,
though my learning is slow.
My mistakes are not numbered.
I lost count of them all,
but I learn my best lessons
right after I fall.
Thre is much to be learned
on a challenging climb.
With persistent hard work,
wisdom will come in time.
So I'll keep falling down,
but I'll keep climbing high.
If I reach for the stars,
I'll at least reach the sky.
I'm a long way from perfect.
That is not hard to see,
but I'm surely much wiser
than I used to be.
