How to Make the Mother's Day Dining Flower
Step 1: Arrange Supplies
Lay your supplies out on a
table.
* This picture shows a finished flower too so you will
know what it should look like when it is done.
Step 2:
Prepare Napkin
Unfold the napkin completely, then fold it over only
once (in half) so the height is longer than the width.
Step 3: Arrange Eating Ware
Place the plastic ware or silver ware on the napkin.
Place the knife down first on an angle pointing toward the top right corner of the
napkin. Place the fork over the knife with the points down on the knife. Then put the
spoon on the fork with the cupped part resting over the prongs of the fork.
Step 4: Fold Napkin
Fold the napkin from the bottom right corner over the
eating ware to the left. The fold should line up with the left side of the napkin.
Step 5: Roll the Napkin
Roll the napkin and eating ware to the left keeping the
napkin tight against the eating ware. Continue rolling until the left edge of the napkin
is reached.
Step 6: Wrap a Pipe Cleaner Around the Napkin
Wrap one green pipe cleaner around the napkin and eating
ware. Begin at the narrow part of the eating ware and wrap down toward the bottom of the
napkin. Wrapping this way will secure the eating ware in the napkin and keep the napkin
folded.
This is what the napkin will look like after the first pipe cleaner is
wrapped.
Step 7: Wrap the Second Pipe Cleaner
Wrap a second green pipe cleaner beginning at the end of
the first pipe cleaner. Continue wrapping down toward the end of the napkin.
Step 8: Finish the Wrap
Finish the stem portion of the Mother's Day Dining
Flower with a third green pipe cleaner. This one should reach the end of the napkin. If
it is goes past the end of the napkin, begin wrapping back up again until you reach the
end of the pipe cleaner.
You're Done!
Now put the flower in a deep glass and put the glass on
a plate. Now you are ready to give mom a flower and a nice meal. Whether it is Mom's
special dinner or a breakfast in bed, mom will surely love this Mother's Day Dining
Flower.
