Family Fun Shop Recipes : Dinner Main Course
"Pork Shrouded Meat Loaf "

Pork Shrouded Meat Loaf is a delicious dinner that is easy to prepare and pleasantly aromatic in the oven. A boldly flavored meat loaf with a ham and bacon coating makes this meat loaf a delight not to be missed. This meal will have your family armed at-the-ready with forks in hand and watering mouths at the dinner table.

Serves 5+


Pork Shrouded Meat Loaf Recipe

Pork Shrouded Meat Loaf Recipe

2 lbs extra lean ground beef
1 Cup Bread Crumbs
1/4 Cup Tomato Paste
3 Diced Green Onions
3 Eggs
1 Tbsp Vinegar
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Basil
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
Sandwich Ham Slices (approximately 3-5 slices)
Bacon (approximately 12 strips)



Directions for Pork Shrouded Meat Loaf

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Dice 3 green onions into small pices and place them in a large
mixing bowl.

Add all contents except bacon and ham into the large mixing
bowl. Mix all contents thoroughly together by hand.

Shape the meat into a loaf that will fit into a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.

Move the mixure into a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.

Cover top of meat loaf with one layer of ham slices.

Cover ham slices completely with bacon strips (approximately 12
strips of bacon). Lay the bacon across the short width of the pan
tucking the extra length of bacon into the sides of the meat loaf.
Repeat this process until the entire top is covered with bacon.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 1/2 hours.


Serving Suggestions

Serve with vegetables (as in the picture) or with rice.
