1 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp Corn Starch
2 Cups Pineapple Chunks
1/2 Cup White Vinegar
3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
Directions for Sweet and Sour Sauce
Mix 2 tablespoons of
cornstarch and COLD water in
a small bowl and set aside. (This will be added to the
sauce when it is boiling)
Combine all other
ingredients into a saucepan and heat
over medium-high (3/4) heat, stirring continuously.
Bring to a boil at the
medium-high (3/4) heat while
stirring continuously.
When boiling is
established, stir up the cornstarch and water mixture and pour it into the
sauce.
Stir while boiling until
the mixture thickens to a thick
syrup consistency. This may take several minutes.
Remove from heat when desired thickness is achieved.
